WOW! Forum “How well are you aging?”

Wellness Forum “How well are you aging?”

Shelley Stratton, RN, Certified Yoga Teacher will present a WOW! Working on Wellness Radio Forum on Wednesday March 8th at 2:00-3:00 pm on KSQM FM (91.5) radio station.

Shelley Stratton, RN, E-RYT, is certified in Hatha and Yin Yoga, is a Cancer Exercise Specialist and owner of Bodhi Tree Yoga Studio.

The definition of aging well or successful aging is the ability to maintain a low risk of disease-related disabilities, a high mental and physical function, and an active engagement with life. Shelley will discuss how to obtain or lead a healthy lifestyle, which is important for creating the body memory and retention that creates a long-term foundation for integrating stability, strength, and balance in our lives. She will also focus on building an internal sense of joy through breathing, moving (exercise), diet (food intake) and meditation.

WOW! Working on Wellness is a health education program of Dungeness Valley Health Wellness Clinic—Sequim’s free clinic. The Clinic provides basic urgent care and chronic health care services to uninsured community members. Our work is supported by more than seventy volunteers, including physicians, other professional health care providers and laypersons, as well as private and public donations from the Sequim community and beyond. We would like to thank our 2023 Proud Supporter Sponsors: Jamestown Family Health Clinic, KSQM FM Radio Station and Olympic Medical Center.

The Basic Urgent Care Clinic is open to patients on Monday and Thursday evenings beginning at 4:30 pm. Individuals interested in supporting the Clinic may call 360.582.0218.
